Home Page updated ... mostly
So I've updated my home page to include a nifty little image browser of "featured" pieces of artwork. I've added a couple o' things also. I've changed the header to just show the words "Swine Song Comics" for now. I'm thinking that may be the way to go so it's less distracting. I'm planning to change the way the sketches section is handled to mirror this. I think it will be more efficient in terms of browsing. It will make it a little more difficult to bookmark specific images but, let's be honest, who's really doing that anyway!?

Do you like the new image browser on the home page? Do you hate it? Let me know what you think?

Oh yeah, in case you've already seen the browser but haven't commented ... I added a new image yesterday. More to come as I finish them.

I've also decided to clean up the "Trough" and rename it "Store" in the navigation to make it less confusing. Once I get to that I'll be cleaning up that page to show links for CafePress Store, deviantArt Store, and Blurb Store. I'm in the process of digitally painting a new "Tickling A Dead Man: Stories About George" anthology book cover. The book, once the cover is complete, will be available through Blurb. They print the books on demand and do a really nice job. More to come on that subject once I finish the cover art ... which I've not yet started. It may be a couple of weeks before that's ready to rock and roll.

In the meantime, be careful out there.

Hey, bud. I'm doing okay. I'm back to working from home (for myself again). Trying to be somewhat creative here and there ... haw! I'm glad you're still around and painting. You have a real gift. I have that clown painting hanging above my desk staring me down every day while I work. There are a couple of Jeff Soto prints up there too. I'm doing a little digital "painting" here and there. Trying to figure out what my style should be. Struggling with that a bit. I'll look for your eBay store.

I had an aunt pass away today so will be going out of town for a few days. I'll be slow in responding until I get back. I'll try to do a better job of staying in touch.

Hey hey! Thanks for the compliments on my painting. I really appreciate it. Your digital stuff is lookin' good too! Sorry to hear about your aunt passing away. Were you close with her? In anycase, hang in there.

We were close when I was a kid. She lived with us for a while. She used to take my brothers and I camping a lot when we were little. Once we moved out here (from Indiana in 1983) we would only see each other each few years. Last time I saw her was when my uncle passed away a few years ago. Life gets in the way and people lose touch. You know how it goes.

Thanks for the affirmation on my digital stuff. It's a learning process. I'm excited about drawing again. I've got this "insect war" thing that I'm drawing right now that I'm pretty jazzed about. Hopefully I get it done soon and posted. I'll be sure to post something on here about it.
